Forums set with Associate Vice President of Community, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence finalists

A series of community forums are set for Feb. 20 to March 1 with finalists for the Associate Vice President of Community, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence position.

The finalists were selected following a comprehensive national search and interview process. Each candidate will visit WSU for two days to meet with students, faculty, staff and administrators.

The candidates will have two open forums during their visits. WSU faculty and staff are invited to attend the campus open forums, which will also be live streamed. Candidates will present on “Community, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence at a Top 25 university.” WSU students also are invited to student-only forums with each of the candidates.

Specific information about each of the presentation dates, times, and locations will be available at studentaffairs.wsu.edu/avp. Names, biographies and curriculum vitae for each finalist will be available prior to their campus visit.

Reporting directly to Vice President for Student Affairs Mary Jo Gonzales, the associate vice president of Community, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence will advocate for all students on all campuses and foster an institutional climate across the university that supports and encourages multicultural and global engagement.

More information about the position’s duties are found on the Student Affairs website.
