11th Annual Administrative Professional Advisory Council Contribution Award nomination opens

Each year, the Administrative Professional Advisory Council (APAC) recognizes administrative professional employees for their contributions to WSU and their area or unit. The award recognizes exceptional contributions, defined as beyond the expected or required performance; making a unique difference; or having a far-reaching or compelling impact to the work area.

“Recognition is an important aspect of an employee’s life at the university,” said Ray Acuña-Luna, APAC’s co-chair of the professional development and recognition sub-committee. “Recognizing an individual’s contributions has shown to boost morale and productivity but also indicates that they are valued as individuals.”

Becki Meehan, campus recruiter and admissions manager at WSU Spokane said, “Any of us is deserving of this award and I feel very honored to have been nominated by my wonderful colleagues.”

Meehan and Kristina Peterson-Wilson from the Office of the Provost were last year’s winners. This year, APAC looks forward to recognizing the outstanding contributions from APs across the WSU.

The nomination process is open through March 23.  Winners will be announced on May 10 during APAC’s monthly meeting. To learn more and submit a nomination, click here.
