2018 Open Enrollment

The Annual Open Enrollment period for 2018 begins November 1 and will run through November 30. This is the one time each year when you can change your medical and/or dental plans, add eligible dependents to your coverage, or waive dependents from your coverage. This is also the time to enroll/re-enroll in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and/or Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) if you wish to have this coverage in 2018. Enrollment changes become effective January 1, 2018.

If you do not want to make a change in Medical/Dental plans, you don’t need to do anything, and your current plan will continue. If you wish to continue your FSA or DCAP, you will need to re-enroll.

Also, if you carry a spouse or registered domestic partner on your plan, you may need to attest/re-attest to the spousal surcharge questions to determine if the surcharge will be applicable to you in 2018. The Health Care Authority will send you a direct communication if you need to re-attest. If you are required to re-attest and do not, you will see the spousal surcharges on your paycheck starting in January.

2018 plan year changes include: premium changes and some changes to coverage. For more information regarding these changes, visit the HRS Open Enrollment website.

The WSU Benefits Fair for the Pullman campus is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017. It will be held at the WSU CUB Junior Ballroom from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. The Open Enrollment website will provide information regarding other statewide Benefit Fairs.
