Travel and registration support available for attending “Science Talk” a Science Communications Conference

Science Talk, a national professional science communication organization is bringing together scientists and other STEM professionals, students and other trainees, science communication professionals, and others for a major annual conference and series of networking opportunities. The 2018 conference features keynotes by Phil Plait (The Bad Astronomer), Keri Kukral (bioengineer and founder of Raw Science TV), and Michael Lemonick (editor for Scientific American). The conference will also have talks and workshops by national organizations, including AAAS and the Union of Concerned Scientists, panel discussions on hot button issues, and skills workshops on topics such as storytelling and graphic design. The conference had over 250 attendees at the 2017 conference and is expecting attendance to be around 500 in 2018.

The 2018 conference is scheduled for March 1-2, at Oregon Convention Center in Portland.
