A flag walk, a painting workshop, and a guided discussion are among the events the WSU Pullman community is invited to attend in celebration of Latinx Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
The university will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking on Friday for Schweitzer Engineering Hall, a state-of-the-art educational building on the Pullman campus.
Beginning with WSU Pullman on Sept. 22, each town hall will feature a brief update from President Schulz followed by a Q&A session guided by questions from community members.
The Office of Research will host three grant competitions during Research Week, Oct. 16–20. All WSU researchers are encouraged to submit proposals by 5 p.m, Monday, Sept. 25.
The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU is hosting two days of events celebrating the significance of glass as a fusion of visual art, design, engineering, and technology.
The virtual workshop is from 3–5 p.m. on Aug. 29. It is designed for faculty, but open to all members of the WSU community looking to start off the academic year feeling inspired and motivated in their writing.
New and returning students to WSU’s residential campus can expect a full calendar of events this week. Other campuses are also celebrating back to school with a variety of activities.
